How much does a container cost?Prices start from $45,000+ gst depending on your requirements.

How long does it take to build a container?If we don't have a completed home in stock, we normally allow about 10 weeks for custom builds depending on the number of orders we're working through at the time, the size of the container and your unique requirements.

How big is a converted shipping container?Measurements for “20ft” Containers are 6m x 2.4m (approx. 14.4sqm). “40ft” Containers are 12m x 2.4m (approx. 29sqm). Ceiling heights are a typically 2.55m (approx).

Are the containers insulated?Yes. All of our builds are fully insulated using the "Gold Standard" for shipping containers. Our insulation system includes a complete insulated moisture barrier which prevents "container sweats" or condensation build up on the inside of the container walls. Its non toxic and a fire retradent. This is a critical and expensive component of our builds to ensuring a dry, healthy, long lasting home. We only use premium materials and the correct methods for insulating shipping containers. Ask out team about the differences and why this is so important to get right.

How is the container installed?Depending on your location and local requirements, there are many different options available including fully certified footings systems. It can be as simple as using sleepers or concrete blocks, timber/ steel posts (6-8 req) or engineered, Australian standards alternatives. Do you provide air conditioning units?Yes, we supply Reverse Cycle Air Conditioning units with our builds designed to heat in winter and cool in summer

Can you provide hot water systems?Yes. These can be gas or electric depending on your preference.

Do you offer new container builds or just B grade?As standard, we convert new "single trip" containers direct from ports. This ensures healthy living spaces where you can be sure no chemicals have been transported in our containers. By using new shipping containers we can also ensure that your home is of the highest quality, free from damage that will be present on older containers that are often near the end of their life.

What approvals do we need?We recommend contacting your local council to discuss any specific requirements for your area or site. We can assist with any approvals and provide compliance certificates for items such as electrical safety, plumbing, glazing, insulation, engineering should you need them.
